I'll Be Back!
Hello readers. I have been selected for jury duty for the next two months. This experience is going to require a great deal of time. As a result, I am taking a temporary blog break. I hope you will come back again when I return in November.
My goodness! Well, perhaps it will be over sooner. Good luck.
ReplyDeletewow - good luck. Two months - must be a very serious case. Take care and be a good citizen.
ReplyDeletewow, two months - hope you get through it okay - ...
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you. Look forward to your return.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Thanks, all. I am serving on felony grand jury duty. We have numerous cases in front of us each week day (normally about 17 or 18 cases a day and sometimes more). Our job is to decide if the prosecutor has enough evidence for an indictment in each case.
ReplyDeleteWow, Daisy! This sounds like something from the TV show, Law & Order! I've never heard of a jury duty like that...sounds very interesting, and probably very tiring. Hope it all goes well.
DeleteThis is definitely a very serious undertaking, Connie. It's good that you and others are serving on what can't be easy cases to decide. I have only ever been called for jury service that didn't go longer than a week. That was when we lived in NJ, but never in the 12 years we lived in VA and so far not yet in NH. If called, we would serve.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well and that you are back to blogging soon!
ReplyDeleteWill miss you. God will guide you in your duties. Cant wait till your return. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteI was in the jury pool last month. I only was called for one jury and had I been chosen, it would have been a week and a half of long days, but they passed over me (it was a big civil case). Enjoy your time away.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, 2 months is a long time!
ReplyDeleteI sure will miss you, but understand your jury duty. I've done that before. Looking forward to your return.
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow... Jury Duty for TWO MONTHS? Mercy Me.....
ReplyDeleteWe just got home from a fantastic trip out west.... I have lots of pictures to share!!!!
See you soon...
Hugs,
Betsy
Connie, I look forward to hearing from you in November when you back ... I hope the Jury duty goes by faster... Have a great weekend xox
ReplyDeleteThank you, everyone, for your comments. I finished with jury duty on Monday. Although, I learned a great deal from the experience, I have to admit I am relieved to have it finally over. I'll be around to visit your blogs and see what everyone is up to very soon.
