Boxes, Boxes, Everywhere! Boxes, boxes everywhere, piled in a heap. Boxes, boxes everywhere, stacked up chin deep. Boxes, boxes everywhere, filled with things we want to keep. Boxes, boxes everywhere. I even see them in my sleep!
Bless your heart... I know how hard moving can be. The best thing that happened to me when I moved from TX to TN in 2000 was finally getting rid of lots of stuff I no longer needed... That was hard--but truly made me feel good... Hope things are going well for you all. Hugs, Betsy
We well know that feeling, Daisy. We have boxes and containers in storage for our hopefully future move...one day in the future. Take it easy in the heat.
Cute poem Daisy. I feel for you. One never knows what they accumulate over the years until they start the packing. We've been in your place and it's a very hard job. Here's wishing you all the best in your new home. Lots of hugs.
Daisy this post made me giggle. Especially the last paragraph. Thank you dear for sharing. Needed this. You are always such an encourager, and it does not go unnoticed. Blessings to you my friend.
Thank you all for the good wishes and kind words. It is indeed amazing how much stuff we have accumulated over the years of living here. It is also good that we are getting rid of a lot of it and taking less with us. There's a lot to be said for living a simple life. It gets to the point where you wonder if you own your stuff or if it owns you!!
Fantastic poem, Daisy. I like the way you repeat the word, "boxes." That sure makes it a powerful poem. I sure know how you feel. Moving is a hard job. Hang in there. You'll get those boxes unpacked one day. Best wishes in your new home.
Hi Daisy! Oh, yes...I can relate!! And one of the biggest things I discovered in our recent move...is that A LOT of "my stuff" was all about writing! Copies, copies, and more copies of things I'd written. When I edit, I like to print the pages, get away from my laptop, and go over it with a pencil. But why did I keep all of them??!! LOL. Have fun!! :)
Wishing you a gentle day Daisy...packing and moving.....both hard and fun. The fun is thinking about new starts....new beginnings...Have a great day....
I sympathize! At least you don't have cats to get in those boxes!!!!! All the best to you.

ReplyDeleteAhh, the box issue, but imagine them unpacked and you in your new place. There are storage centers cropping up everywhere around here.
